Zaarour
The Zaarour reforestation site is situated on the highest mountain in the Mount Lebanon governorate, on a steep slope between 1600 and 1700m above sea level. The site is part of the Zaarour Ski Club area, where 2,800 seedlings of Cedrus libani were planted over an area of 15 hectares.
A drip irrigation system has been installed for the cedar seedlings to ensure their survival. The newly planted forest is now under the management of the municipality as the site is now saturated with beautiful trees exceeding (height).
