Jouzour Loubnan started its activities in Kfardebian next to La Cabane restaurant and Warde ski slopes on a municipal land that culminates at 2050 m.
This region is characterized by cold winters and dry and hot summers. It suffers from over grazing and potentially damaging touristic activities (ATV, ski-doo, hunting...). Due to these prevailing conditions, we have decided to plant only trees over 2 m high and to install a drip irrigation system in order to insure the long term success of our forestation campaigns.
After testing 8 different tree species in 2007, we selected three of them: Cedar, Poplar and Walnut. Many forestation campaigns have been conducted in that area and 2.179 trees were planted with the support of the Municipality of Kfardebian, the Union of Municipalities of Keserwan and the Mzaar Touristic Company.
